Sanitary landfills and industrial sludge ponds face two core problems: leachate leakage polluting underground soil and water sources, and unsmooth internal drainage leading to pond bulging and structural instability. The engineering requires materials with stable chemical resistance, precise filtration, and anti-clogging performance to ensure long-term safe operation of environmental protection facilities.
Geotextile Application Solution
High-density non-woven geotextiles are used as the key filtration and protection layer for landfill lining and sludge pond capping. The geotextile is laid above the impermeable membrane to protect the membrane from puncture damage of sharp stones and waste residues. Meanwhile, it filters solid waste particles, ensures smooth discharge of leachate and accumulated water, and prevents drainage pipeline blockage and soil layer siltation.
Project Results & Advantages
After the project was completed, the landfill drainage system operated stably without blockage, and the anti-leakage system maintained intact for a long time. The geotextile material resists corrosion of landfill leachate and microbial erosion, with stable performance in long-term buried environments. It effectively reduces the risk of environmental pollution, meets international environmental engineering standards, and lowers later maintenance costs.
